The raku piece is first bisque fired then glazed.
It is then reheated to approximately 1800 degrees.
The piece is then rapidly removed from the kiln using tongs.
The piece is then placed in a trash can.
With combustible materials.
The lid is placed on the can.
After a while the can is opened and quickly cooled with water.
The piece will then have to be thoroughly cleaned.
